The Moroccan Society of Rheumatology will organize the next ARLAR Pan Arab Rheumatology Congress in conjunction with its annual congress from 24 to 26 March 2016 in Marrakech.
The decision to choose Marrakech as host of the congress was an obvious one due to the global reputation of this city, a vibrant and beautiful city which lives up to its name of “The pearl of the South”.
With its 11th century sandstone city walls, giving the city its nick name “The Red City”, Marrakech, famous for its palm groves and art of living, will host the first edition of the ARLAR Pan Arab Congress since the ARLAR Congress was established in 2014 in Dubai. The mission of ARLAR is to represent all Arab Rheumatologists and to promote continuing education, collaboration between rheumatology professionals and research in the Arab world. Therefore congeniality is expected coupled with the scientific excellence. In addition to the diverse educational sessions presented by prominent Arab or international speakers, this congress will offer an excellent room to showcase various research works led by many Arab rheumatology teams through oral or poster presentations.
On behalf of the Moroccan organizers and myself, it is with great pleasure that we would like to welcome all rheumatologist colleagues of the Arab world and beyond to Marrakech in 2016.

تتشرف الجمعية المغربية لأمراض الروماتزم تحت إشراف الرابطة العربية ضد أمراض الروماتزم بإحتضان مؤتمرها العربي ما بين 24 و26 مارس 2016 بمراكش.
هذه المدينة التي برزت للوجود على يد مؤسسها يوسف ابن تاشفين سنة 1062 م، وتألقت بتراثها الغني الذي يشهد على ازدهارها أيام حكم المرابطين والموحدين والسعديين.
وتشتهر مراكش بحدائقها الغناءة وقصورها الفيحاء وآثارها الخالدة وواحات النخيل الشاسعة. كما تتميز بموقعها الجغرافي البديع وهواءها الرفيع وبأهلها الموصوفين بالبهجة وحسن الضيافة، ناهيك عن ساحة جامع الفنا الفريدة من نوعها والأسواق العتيقة التي تزخر بكل ما أبدعته يد الصانع المغربي. كل هذا وذاك أضفى عليها مسحة ساحرة جعلتها تتوج كأحسن مدينة سياحية في العالم.
والمؤتمر هذا سوف يحظى بمشاركة أشهر المتخصصين في أمراض العظام والمفاصل سواء على الصعيد العربي و العالمي، وسوف يتطرق إلى كل ما جد في أمراض الجهاز الحركي.
فأهلا وسهلا بضيوفنا الأعزاء في بلدهم الثاني قصد الإستفادة والإستمتاع.

La Société Marocaine de Rhumatologie organisera le prochain Congrès Panarabe de Rhumatologie, conjointement avec son Congrès Annuel, du 24 au 26 mars 2016 à Marrakech.
Le choix de Marrakech est apparu comme une évidence, en raison de la réputation internationale de cette ville belle et dynamique, célèbre pour ses palmeraies et son art de vivre. Marrakech, souvent surnommée « la ville rouge » ou encore « la perle du Sud », aura donc l’honneur d’accueillir la première édition du Congrès Panarabe depuis la création d’ARLAR à Dubaï en 2014. ARLAR s’est fixé comme objectifs de représenter tous les rhumatologues du monde arabe, de promouvoir la formation continue et de consolider la collaboration entre les professionnels de la rhumatologie et la recherche au sein du monde arabe. C’est pourquoi, en plus de l'excellence scientifique qui le caractérise, le Congrès se placera sous le signe de la convivialité. En marge des conférences d'enseignement prodiguées par d'éminents orateurs arabes ou étrangers, ce congrès offrira un excellent espace de mise en valeur des divers travaux de recherche menés par des services de rhumatologie arabes, au travers de séances de communication orales ou affichées.
En mon nom et en celui des organisateurs marocains, je suis ravi d’accueillir nos collègues rhumatologues du monde arabe à Marrakech en 2016.
